Generate Google Meet Links for CRM Meetings

Overview

The Google Meet integration lets you create a video meeting link while scheduling a meeting activity in ClosingDealz. The generated URL is stored with the activity so the meeting details and relevant CRM context remain easy to find. See Manage CRM Tasks and Meeting Activities for activity behavior.

Use it for discovery calls, product demos, proposal reviews, client onboarding, or internal deal discussions.

Create a Google Meet Link

1. Connect the Google account you want to use.
2. Create or schedule a Meeting activity in ClosingDealz.
3. Add the title, date, time, owner, and meeting details.
4. Enable Create Video Meeting Link.
5. Save the activity.
6. Open the saved activity and verify the Google Meet URL.

Test the link before using the integration for a client meeting.

Where the Link Appears

The Google Meet URL is attached to the scheduled meeting activity. Open that activity when you are ready to join or when you need to review the meeting details.

Keeping the link in the activity also makes it easier to review the related lead, deal, notes, and previous activities before the call.

Google Meet vs. Google Calendar

Google Meet creates the video room. Google Calendar supplies calendar events and busy-time information. If you need to control which time slots visitors can select, configure Calendar Settings and the Google Calendar integration.

Troubleshooting

No Meet link is created

Confirm that a Google account is connected and that Create Video Meeting Link was enabled before saving the meeting.

The meeting time is incorrect

Verify the workspace, Google account, and browser time zones. Then open the activity and compare its saved start and end times.

A participant cannot find the link

Open the meeting activity, copy the saved URL, and verify that the participant was included in the intended invitation or communication.
