Overview

The ClosingDealz Google Calendar integration connects calendar availability and relevant events to your sales workspace. It supports two related workflows:

  • Connected events marked Busy can block time in ClosingDealz booking experiences.
  • Selected Google Calendar events can create ClosingDealz activities through a one-way Google Calendar-to-ClosingDealz sync.

Each workflow has separate settings and should be tested before you publish a booking form or chatbot. Use Calendar Settings to configure the availability side of the integration.

Connect Your Google Account

  1. Open the integration settings in ClosingDealz.
  2. Choose Google Calendar and select Manage Integration.
  3. Authorize the Google account that owns the calendar you want to use.
  4. Confirm the connected account and calendar.

If your account contains work, personal, and shared calendars, verify that you select the intended one.

Use Busy Events for Booking Availability

ClosingDealz checks connected calendar conflicts when calculating available meeting times. Events marked Busy block their time range; events marked Free do not.

Calendar conflicts are combined with the rules in Calendar Settings, including weekly availability, meeting duration, minimum notice, buffers, daily meeting limits, holidays, custom unavailable dates, and the booking window.

Test availability by creating a temporary busy event and checking the visitor-facing booking experience in another browser.

Sync Calendar Events into CRM Activities

You can configure selected Google Calendar events to appear as activities in ClosingDealz. The documented activity sync is one-way from Google Calendar to ClosingDealz.

During setup, choose:

  • Which calendar ClosingDealz reads
  • Which events should be included
  • Which ClosingDealz activity type represents them

An activity records scheduled work. It does not by itself create a complete lead or deal; see Leads vs. Deals vs. Activities for the record relationships.

Troubleshooting

A conflict still appears as bookable

Confirm that the event is on the connected calendar and marked Busy. Then verify the account, time zone, event time, and booking-form settings.

Calendar events do not appear in ClosingDealz

Confirm the selected source calendar and activity-sync configuration. The sync reads Google Calendar events into ClosingDealz; do not assume changes flow in both directions.

Meeting times appear in the wrong time zone

Compare the time zones in Google Calendar, your ClosingDealz workspace, and the browser used to test the booking page.
