Configure weekly booking availability, Google Calendar conflicts, holidays, buffers, notice periods, and unavailable dates in ClosingDealz.

Table of Contents

Overview

Calendar Settings determine which meeting times ClosingDealz can offer through booking forms and the AI chatbot. Availability is calculated from your weekly schedule, connected-calendar conflicts, scheduling rules, public holidays, and custom unavailable dates.

Configure these settings before publishing any scheduling experience, then test the result from a visitor's perspective.

Connect Google Calendar

Select Manage Integration, authorize the correct Google account, and confirm the calendar used for availability. Events marked Busy block their time range; events marked Free do not.

The Google Calendar integration also has a separate one-way event-to-activity workflow. See Connect Google Calendar to ClosingDealz for details.

Set Weekly Availability

For each day, add one or more start and end times or mark the day unavailable. Only slots inside these ranges can be offered.

Example:

DayAvailability
Monday09:00-12:00 and 13:00-17:00
Friday09:00-15:00
SaturdayUnavailable

Confirm the workspace time zone before entering the schedule.

Configure Scheduling Rules

  • Meeting duration: length of the appointment.
  • Minimum notice: required time between now and the earliest selectable slot.
  • Maximum meetings per day: cap for meetings accepted through the booking experience.
  • Time-slot increment: interval between offered start times.
  • Buffer before and after: unavailable time around existing meetings.
  • Booking window: maximum number of days into the future that a visitor can select.
  • Assigned meeting user: owner of the scheduled meeting.

ClosingDealz only offers a slot when the full meeting duration and its buffers satisfy every rule.

Block Holidays

Choose a country to load its public holidays, then enable or disable individual dates. Enabled holidays are unavailable even when the normal weekly schedule would otherwise allow bookings.

Add Custom Unavailable Dates

Use custom dates for vacations, company events, personal time off, or one-time closures:

  1. Select Add Date.
  2. Choose a single date or range.
  3. Save the change.

Custom unavailable dates override weekly availability.

How Available Slots Are Calculated

ClosingDealz combines:

  1. Weekly availability
  2. Internal meeting conflicts
  3. Connected Google Calendar events marked Busy
  4. Meeting duration and buffers
  5. Minimum notice and booking window
  6. Daily meeting limits
  7. Holidays and custom unavailable dates

The resulting slots can be shown in booking forms or offered by the AI chatbot during a conversation.

Test Your Booking Availability

Before publishing:

  • Verify the workspace and Google Calendar time zones.
  • Create a temporary busy event and confirm that its slot disappears.
  • Test minimum notice and buffer rules.
  • Check a holiday or custom unavailable date.
  • Complete a test booking on mobile and desktop.

If no slots appear, start by widening weekly availability and checking for busy events, then add each scheduling restriction back one at a time.
