Calendar Settings

Configure your availability, holidays, and calendar integrations for automated meeting scheduling.

Overview

The Calendar Settings page controls your meeting availability, external calendar integrations, holidays, and custom unavailable dates.

These settings determine when meetings can be booked through the AI Chatbot.

Calendar Integration

Google Calendar

ClosingDealz integrates with Google Calendar to:

  • Sync booked meetings automatically
  • Prevent double-booking
  • Create calendar events in real time
  • Generate video meeting links (if enabled)

To connect:

  1. Click Manage Integration
  2. Authorize your Google account
  3. Confirm the connection status

If no account is connected, meetings will not sync to an external calendar.

Availability

Define the days and time ranges when you are available for meetings.

Weekly Availability

For each day of the week, you can:

  • Set a Start Time
  • Set an End Time
  • Add multiple time ranges per day
  • Mark the day as unavailable

Example:

  • Monday: 09:00 – 17:00
  • Saturday: 09:00 – 10:00 and 10:00 – 11:00
  • Friday: Unavailable

Only time slots within these defined ranges can be booked.

Availability Behavior

Availability is determined by both your defined schedule in ClosingDealz and your connected calendar events.

When creating meetings:

  • Meetings created inside ClosingDealz will block the selected time range.
  • Events marked as Busy in your connected Google Calendar will block availability.
  • Events marked as Free will not block booking.

The system combines:

  • Weekly availability
  • Busy events (internal and external)
  • Holidays
  • Custom dates

In addition, the following Schedule Meeting settings are applied:

  • Meeting Duration
  • Minimum Notice
  • Maximum Meetings Per Day
  • Time Slot Increment
  • Buffer Before / After Meeting
  • Booking Window Days

Only time slots that satisfy your availability, calendar conflicts, holidays, custom dates, and scheduling rules will be shown to visitors.

Holidays

ClosingDealz can automatically block selected public holidays.

Country Selection

Choose a country to load its official holidays.

You can enable or disable specific holidays individually.

When enabled:

  • The selected holiday is marked as unavailable.
  • No meetings can be booked on that date.

Custom Dates

Add specific dates or date ranges when you will be unavailable.

Use this for:

  • Vacations
  • Company off-sites
  • Personal time off
  • Special events

To add a custom date:

  1. Click Add Date
  2. Select a single date or date range
  3. Save

Custom dates override normal weekly availability.

How Calendar Settings Affect Scheduling

The AI Chatbot uses the following data to generate available time slots:

  • Weekly availability
  • Minimum notice (from Schedule Meeting settings)
  • Booking window limits
  • Buffer times
  • Holiday selections
  • Custom dates
  • Existing busy events in your connected calendar

If no availability is defined, meetings cannot be booked.

Best Practice

Before enabling chatbot scheduling:

  • Connect Google Calendar
  • Set weekly availability
  • Configure holidays
  • Add any upcoming custom unavailable dates
  • Verify your timezone is correct

Once configured, availability updates apply immediately to future bookings.
